It’s Tuesday night. The weather is cold, maybe it’s even raining. You are home, having dinner after a long day at work. You are tired, and you are reconsidering going to the concert. You like the band, but you do not feel like going outside once again. You are way too comfortable at home. You wish the band could just arrive at your place, and play in your living room.

Kultur am Rande am Rande des StustaCulums

Servus!

Four days of Concerts for 5 Euros, including a Metal panel every night and inexpensive beers. What do you say to that? Yes. You say Yes. So is StuStaCulum, the biggest Student Music Festival in Germany. It is an amazing opportunity to support the local scenes, to discover new bands and to introduce yourself to new genres of music. There was something for everyone: Rock, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Ska, Metal. You bet I was in the first row at almost every Metal nights. Every night, a band I already knew played as well as one I did not know. In this way, I was sure to enjoy at least the half of the night. But at the end, I enjoyed everything I heard.

Servus!

What is your favorite thing about Summer, and why is it Metal Festivals? Metal Festivals. These two words sound like the sweetest music to my ears. As much as I love them, I have not attended one for the past four years. Four goddamn years. Many things have kept me away from these crazy events, but since I live in Europe, it would be stupid to pass all the great opportunities that are here. Indeed, Europe is overflowing with metal festivals, especially Germany. As a North-American, I find mind blowing the fact that you can go to a Festival every week-end, from end of May until beginning of September. Summer 2014 is the Year.
